Privacy policy

This policy covers the Architect Path app for iPhone, iPad and Android, and this website (“Architect Path”), made by Kwok Cheung Poon (“we”). Questions go to ap@twinkle.hk.

On your device

All lessons, flashcards and quiz questions are built into the app. Your progress is stored only on your device: the lessons you've completed, your flashcard schedule, your quiz results, your bookmarks and your settings, such as reading speed. It isn't sent to us or to anyone else, and it isn't synced between devices.

Deleting the app removes all of it. You can also clear your progress at any time in the app under Settings › Reset all progress.

Reading aloud

When you tap Listen, the lesson is read by your device's built-in text-to-speech engine (Apple's on iPhone and iPad, or the engine chosen in your Android settings). Architect Path doesn't send the lesson text, or anything about your listening, to us.

Links to other websites

The Resources section links to books, courses and websites run by others. They open in your browser and are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.

App stores

Apple and Google handle downloads and payments, and their own privacy policies apply to that. We never see your name, account or payment details. They may give us aggregated statistics, such as download numbers, and crash reports from people who have chosen to share them with developers. These don't identify you.

This website

This website has no cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard request data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

What we don't do

• We don't collect personal data, and we have no accounts or sign-in.
• We don't sell or share data, and we don't use it for advertising.
• We don't use analytics, advertising identifiers or third-party tracking.

Children

Architect Path is meant for working software engineers. It isn't directed at children under 13, and it doesn't collect anyone's data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date above. If the app ever starts collecting data, we'll say so here before that version is released.
