Terms of use

Last updated 22 October 2026

These terms cover the Architect Path app and this website (“Architect Path”), made by Kwok Cheung Poon (“we”). By using Architect Path you agree to them. Questions go to ap@twinkle.hk.

Using Architect Path

Architect Path is for your personal learning. Buying it gives you a licence to use it on the devices you own or control, under the app store's rules for sharing purchases (such as Apple's Family Sharing). Please don't copy, resell or republish its lessons, flashcards or questions, or use them to build a competing product. Quoting short passages with a credit to Architect Path is fine.

Educational content, not professional advice

The lessons explain software architecture concepts and trade-offs in general terms. They aren't professional advice for your system or organisation. Decisions about real systems depend on context that we can't see, so weigh them with your own judgment and the people responsible for those systems.

We work to keep the content accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it is complete or error-free. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Other people's content

The Resources section links to books, courses, websites and certifications by other people. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability or prices. Product, company and certification names belong to their owners; mentioning them doesn't mean they endorse Architect Path.

Ownership

The app, its content and its design are © 2026 Kwok Cheung Poon. These terms don't transfer any of those rights to you, other than the right to use Architect Path as described above.

App stores, payments and refunds

Architect Path is a one-time purchase. Payment is handled by Apple or Google, and we never see your payment details. Refunds are handled by them under their policies: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store, or through Google Play for Android.

If you downloaded Architect Path from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app or its support; we are.

No warranty

Architect Path is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, including that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from decisions you make based on Architect Path's content. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms. If the terms change, we'll update them here and change the date above. Continuing to use Architect Path after a change means you accept the new terms.
